Geography is a distinguished subject of Social Sciences. It provides vast scope for students and aspirants. After Post Graduation in Geography there are many career options like as Cartographer, Town Planner,  Meteorologist , Climatologist, Environmentalist  and also have scope of being  reverend teacher as School Lecturer, College Lecturer & Professor in various State and Central Universities of India.

Candidate can pursue the Geography course at the Graduate, Post Graduate, Diploma level and Doctorate level. At Graduate aspirants can opt 3-year BA course, at PG level Aspirant can opt 2-year MA/MSc. in Geography.

At PG level students can consider specialized paper such as Stats, Climatology, Meteorology, Industrial Geography, Settlement Geography, GIS & Remote Sensing, Research Methodology, Urban Geography, Bio Geography, Population Geography etc.
Syllabus of BA and MA in Geography of the University is much similar to the syllabus of R.A.S and I.A.S, which is very helpful to the aspirants of RPSC & UPSC exam also.
