Sports is such an activity that it can be taken up by anyone; at any age and at any point in life. Adults, Children and Elders – everyone alike can take part in sports. Many regards sports as a mere co-curricular or extra-curricular activity in schools & colleges. To achieve overall and all-round development in life, one should be well-versed in both sports and culture. Sports sharpens the body and fitness; thus, it is very essential. There are numerous advantages of involving oneself in sports. First and foremost, as known by all and very definitely, competitions increase the physical fitness of an individual. Additionally, Sports also contribute to building stable mental well-being of a person. Competitions increase immunity and increase people’s stamina. Hence, we should all engage actively and more frequently in sports and other physical activities. Sports is being promoted in our college (S.S. Jain Subodh Girls P.G. College, Sanganer) from many years. All the facilities for sports activities in Subodh Girls College are given at a good level. It has various outdoor and Indoor grounds and equipment’s for each kind of sport, due to which the students of our college have been taking active part in Sports competitions and performing at high level in sport like Golf, Lawn Tennis, Football, Judo, Karate, Rugby, Wrestling, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Athletic etc. They have been securing positions and best performance awards at both National and International level. Students who do well in sports are encouraged and honored on 26th January, 15th August and Annual day by Subodh Shiksha Samiti.
