Department of Botany,S .S Jain Subodh Girls P.G College, Sanganer, organized a plantation drive in Botanical Garden in college campus on 17/02/26.Msc students enthusiastically participated in this drive. Students planted saplings of native species like Syzygium, Ashoka, murraya Hibiscus, Tagetes, Petunia, dianthus etc. which will help purify the air and beautify the campus. The event saw great enthusiasm from students and faculty alike, with everyone pitching in to make it a green initiative. Our respected Principal, Dr Rita Jain brief the students about the importance of planting native species of plants and how it helps in maintainig garden's ecosystem.The event not only contributed to a greener campus but also brought us closer as a community, reminding us of our responsibility towards the environment. Faculties of Department shared some interesting facts about the different trees and their significance in Indian culture , role in reducing pollution. Ms. Namrata Jadaun, HOD of Botany Department encouraged the students to do more plantation in future and thanked everyone for making the event successful.
