As part of their curriculum, B.A. Home Science (Semester III) students visited two ICDS -Anganwadi Centres  
— Nand Ghar Anganwadi (Pratap Nagar-5, Sanganer) and Mansagar Anganwadi (Sanganer, Jaipur) on 15th November 2025.

The visit offered valuable insights into the significant role Anganwadi workers play in promoting maternal and child health, nutrition, education, and family welfare. Students observed how these centres provide care for newborns, immunization for children below six years, antenatal and postnatal care for mothers, and supplementary nutrition for women and children.

The students also conducted engaging activities for children’s holistic development, showcasing their creativity through educational and awareness projects prepared under Home Science.

Key Highlights:
    •    Gained firsthand understanding of Anganwadi workers’ roles in community welfare
    •    Observed key initiatives like immunization, health check-ups, nutrition education, and pre-school learning
    •    Witnessed how these centres serve as vital pillars of India’s public health system

The visit was a meaningful learning experience, reinforcing the spirit of community service and the importance of nurturing healthier, happier lives.
